Street Smart Satta King Chart & Shami: 'I'm still at my peak, why would I : StreetSmart 2026-10-23 Report

Shami claiming he is at his peak is one thing, but the telemetry on his rhythm needs to be compared against the New Zealand tour requirements. I am looking for the actual pace metrics to see if he is still hitting that 140kph mark consistently.

It is typical BCCI politics to leave a fit Shami out of the New Zealand tour while he is publicly fighting for his spot. The risk here is that the selectors have already moved on to younger pace options regardless of his fitness.

While the focus is on Shami and the national squad, we need to see how these fitness benchmarks are being applied to the domestic circuit. I wonder if the same telemetry standards are being used for Ranji players trying to break into the tour.

The mention of real-time pitch metrics is interesting, but I want to see the specific correlation between these metrics and the updated scorecard tracking. Without raw data on the bounce and seam movement, 'peak fitness' is just a subjective statement.

Shami's insistence on being at his peak sounds desperate when he is not even in the squad for the New Zealand tour. The board usually ignores these public pleas, and he might be risking his relationship with the selection committee.

The article mentions match intensity across domestic fixtures, which is where the real battle for the New Zealand tour replacements happens. We should be tracking the state association performers who are currently outperforming the senior incumbents in the nets.
